OUR JOURNEY

Three decades. One family. One trajectory.

From a 15-year-old learning his craft at Vishal Tailors in 1991 to a vertically integrated group powering apparel and shoe-upper manufacturing across India — the story of the Arya family and Aryavrat Ventures.

A Legacy of Growth

From Vishal Tailors to Aryavrat Ventures.

  1. 1991–2002

    The Foundation of "Vishal"

The story began in 1991 when a 15-year-old Mukesh Arya arrived in Paonta Sahib from a small village in Saharanpur with nothing but a hope for a better life. Learning the art of tailoring at Vishal Tailors, he showed such dedication that when the original owner moved away, he took over the shop. He became so synonymous with it that the community began calling him 'Vishal' — a local symbol of hard work — taking on any opportunity, including thin-margin work for the Khadi Ashram, to keep the dream alive.

  2. 2003

    The Pharma Breakthrough

A turning point arrived during a visit to a Sun Pharma unit. Recognizing a gap in the market for high-quality pharmaceutical linen, Mukesh set his sights on a vertical where 'good enough' wasn't an option. After three years mastering raw-material procurement and sample perfection, the persistence paid off in 2003 with the first official purchase order — opening the floodgates to long-term partnerships with giants like Mankind Pharma, Alkem Laboratories and Sun Pharma.

  3. 2010–2016

    Industrialization & the School Vertical

In 2010 the business transitioned from a shop to a manufacturing plant, Vishal Industries. To solve the challenge of seasonal manufacturing dips, Mukesh and his wife, Mrs. Shikha Arya, launched Vishal Garments in 2013 — with Mrs. Arya heading sales — bringing local parents a new promise: school uniforms focused on comfort and industrial-grade durability. By 2016 the original tailoring shop was closed to focus entirely on the expanding retail and manufacturing operations.

  4. 2018–2024

    Modernization & the Next Generation

Expansion continued in 2018 with a new outlet in Shamsherpur, reintroducing Premium Gents Tailoring alongside school, corporate and security uniforms for clients like the Tirupati Group. The journey reached a milestone in 2021 when the unit moved into a self-owned, state-of-the-art facility and added a new hosiery division specializing in tracksuits and jackets, led by Mr. Prashant Arya — who formally joined the group in May 2024, bringing a fresh focus on technology and administrative excellence.

  5. 2025–Present

    The Future of Manufacturing

Most recently, the group expanded into shoe-upper fabrication, performing specialized job work for global brands like Liberty and United Colors of Benetton. Today, under the umbrella of Aryavrat's Ventures, we combine three decades of tailoring soul with modern industrial power.
